Welcome to the Woodcroft Little Learners website
Providing Montessori Childcare and Education for children aged 2 months to School age.
Woodcroft Little Learners provides quality care and education for children, which promotes an environment of equality, diversity, values, belonging, happiness, security and independence to learn at their own pace.
Opening times are from 6.45am – 6.00pm. Our Montessori day runs from 8.00am to 3.00pm.
We are a small family run centre with qualified educators and we believe that children learn from birth. They learn through choosing, trying and doing themselves.
Offering specially developed materials in a prepared environment with close observation and guidance from educators helps children to build confidence and work towards the five outcomes of learning in the Early Years Learning Framework.

Woodcroft Little Learners Rooms
Our Transition Room provides a stimulating, warm and caring environment that enables children to learn at their own pace from 18 months to 3 years.
Every child has a focus educator that helps to meet their needs, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our Pre-School is a Montessori environment for children aged 3 years to school age.
Our educator is in the centre every day of the week and encourages learning through the six areas: Practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, culture and creative activities.
My Family Lounge Parent Portal
We are very excited to inform you that Woodcroft Little Learners uses a fantastic online documentation program called QKeYLM, which most importantly gives you access to view your child’s documentation and pictures through a parent portal called My Family Lounge.
You’ll be able to view your child’s observations that link to the National Quality Framework learning outcomes and the Montessori Learning Program.
You are able to log in anywhere, anytime as long as you have access to the internet and downloaded the app.
Parent involvement is extremely important to us and we are thrilled to be able to provide you with this accessibility to your valuable child’s information.

- Offer experiences that will promote their independence and let them explore at their own pace.
Woodcroft little Learners has a professional and caring group of educators that are all dedicated to the Montessori Way of learning.
Each age group has a dedicated team leader and support educators. As well as this every child has a ‘Focus Educator’ at the centre whom is particularly responsible for a specific group of children.
Your child’s Focus Educator will keep a profile of your child where there will be observations, assessments, evaluations, work and achievements that your child has done in the centre. This folder is called a Learning Journey and moves with them into the next room and with them when they carry on to their next Learning Journey. At the end of term 1 and 3 there is an opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s focus educator to discuss their child’s progress at a Parent’s Acquaintance night. At the end of Term 2 and 4 a written report will be given.
Our educators are passionate about helping your child grow and develop as well as caring for them and making sure they enjoy their time at Woodcroft Little Learners.
The Montessori Method of education harnesses the child’s natural ability to learn, using a proven scientific method that offers concrete experiences and materials to abstract principals.
It focuses on six areas of learning: Practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, culture and creative activities.
The curriculum aims to support all aspects of the child’s personal and social development within a structured environment. It also emphasises on giving the child the opportunity to progress at their own pace.
Maria Montessori the founder of the Montessori method of education started her first classroom in 1907. She stressed the importance of respecting children and quoted “Children are born with an inner guide and desire to learn. If development is supported by an appropriate learning environment, this love of learning continues.”
